Real Talk. Now that the hype has died down a little, which of these two fragrances is better? I am hearing mixed reviews, that Azul has a really harsh lemon opening, and that Dior Homme smells way better, but doesn't last as long. Is it worth grabbing Dior Homme Cologne just for the better smell, and just deal with the performance issue? Or is Azul's dry down worth it in comparison? Appreciate any thoughts.

In the past year, Middle Eastern fragrance houses have literally given us more fragrances, better presentation, stronger performance, and more interesting releases for under $60. Meanwhile, designer brands are charging $150 for weak ass fragrances that disappear before lunch. The dupe brands are not the ones damaging perfumery. Lazy designer releases are.

I finally compared a newer bottle of Aventus to Club de Nuit Intense Man.
I’m sorry, but spending hundreds more for Aventus makes absolutely no sense anymore. Especially, if you can buy it at Costco now for half the price. Aventus might smell smoother for the first 20 minutes, but after that, most people could not tell them apart in the air.
At this point, are people buying Aventus because it smells better, or because they want the Creed bottle sitting on their shelf?
